First populated around 2000 BC, Èze Village is a historic and exciting place to visit. The commune, which is built on a mountain top, is situated approx. 300 metres above the bay Bord Èze. Here you can enjoy the view of the Mediterranean Sea and Cap Ferrat. Another landmark is Hotel Chateau Èze, a 5-star hotel with rooms and suites distributed across several historic buildings, and with a terrace that is sure to take your breath away. Èze Village is also known for its botanical garden, Jardin botanique d´Eze, with its collection of cacti and succulents. Here you will also find the famous perfumery Fragonard, which has both a factory and shops in Èze Village. At the foot of Èze Village is Èze-sur-Mer. Here are several beachfront restaurants and the most popular is Anjuna. Here, lunch is not just a meal, it is part of an experience, with a massive “after-beach party”, involving music, entertainment and artists. The lunch is completed with roaring music and with most guests dancing on the tables. According to the restaurant, Anjuna is “probably the most expensive beach in the world”, later corrected to “definitely the most expensive beach in the world”.
